History of Building
Known as The Union Block, this massive building is located on the northwest corner of Washington & Main at the heart of downtown. Home to four-store fronts this three-story brick building is an Italianate Commercial design constructed in 1875 with architectural ornament and tall elegant windows.
This block has been home to about every type of commercial use from grocery to banking to medical offices to jewelry stores. Today it hosts a bridal boutique, interior design studio, and women’s clothing boutique.
