Stacy Adam, the former Executive Director of the Van Wert Area Economic Development Corp., made significant contributions to the city and county’s economic growth. She spearheaded business retention and attraction efforts, supervised the land bank, tourism, and grant administration. Had a remarkable 30-year tenure at TruGreen LandCare, serving as Division VP of Operations. She is a trustee of the Van Wert County Foundation.

Denise Gutierrez is Director of Accounting at Central Insurance Companies, and brings a strong foundation in accounting and financial leadership. Her experience spans technical accounting and strategic leadership, equipping her with the insight and operational expertise to support complex financial operations. A lifelong Van Wert resident, Denise is passionate about transforming the community she calls home.
Barb Kohnen
Shultz, Huber, & Associates
Barb Kohnen, a longtime shareholder at Shultz, Huber & Associates, where she advises clients across construction, agriculture, and manufacturing on consulting, financial reporting, and tax planning. She holds a Bachelor’s in Accounting and Business Administration from Findlay College and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Ohio. As an at‑large board member, Barb is thrilled to contribute her expertise to the Van Wert Forward initiative, proudly serving alongside fellow leaders working to revitalize downtown Van Wert.

Taylor Ray Orsbon is the Senior Director of Brand and Marketing at Central Insurance Companies. She is excited to serve on the Board of Directors as Taylor believes Van Wert Forward will inspire how our community lives, works, and plays. Van Wert County Foundation
Mark White is president of Vancrest Management Corp and has been involved in long-term health care and real estate development his entire career. He is a graduate of Ohio Northern University with a B. S. in management. White has been active in the community and currently serves on the board of Trustees for the Van Wert County Foundation, as well as being a board member of the Van Wert Business Development Corp.

Seth is the leader of The Van Wert County Foundation and has an impressive list of credentials. He has worked in economic development, downtown revitalization, and community planning. He continues to work on his family farm where he is knowledgeable about local agricultural practices.
Spencer Creekmore
Director Real Estate Development
Spencer’s expertise in managing complex construction projects, refined over a decade as a Healthcare Construction Superintendent, is complemented by his Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Ball State University. A passionate Ohio State Basketball fan, he’s thrilled to return to his Van Wert roots with his family, actively contributing to the community’s development.

Meagan keeps our team running day in and day out. From greeting visitors with a smile to organizing the thoughts and projects of everyone in the office, Meagan is instrumental to the Foundation. Her tenacity and ability to adjust on a moment’s notice probably come from wrangling three kids at home — but we think she’s just that good.

Facilities Manager
Fix-it Steve brings a wealth of knowledge to the Foundation in regard to maintenance, construction, and process management. He can be seen around Van Wert maintaining and monitoring the quality of Foundation-owned buildings.
Renee Thatcher
Accountant
Renee is well-versed in all things Van Wert County Foundation. She is a familiar face in the office and helps keep the ship running smoothly. Renee manages day-to-day office operations including customer service, accounting, and keeping our staff on track. We’d be lost without her!

Michael combines years of financial experience to infuse knowledge and wisdom in The Van Wert County Foundation’s workflow. His steady demeanor and analytical approach provide a solid base for making judicious financial decisions with our donor’s gifts. Mike’s speed with a calculator is only matched by his quick wit.
